Spring Mount is a family run business, Janet Bell and Jackie Smith, mother and daughter, are the Directors and are involved very closely in the daily running of the home.
Janet is a registered Psychiatric and general nurse, with many years of experiences in the health service and Jackie a registered general nurse and a member of the Institute of Personnel Management. Both are fully qualified in various complementary therapies, including Reflexology and Aromatherapy, which are used in the home.
Julian Shears is our Care Manager and has been in the care industry since 1993. He has extensive experience at all levels and holds a Level 4 NVQ in registered care managers award and is currently working towards a BSC Degree in Dementia Studies.
We are committed to the principles and values of a recognised quality standard. We achieved and have maintained the Investor in People award (IIP) since 1999.
Our staff work as a dedicated and well-trained team. We maintain high staffing levels, essential in order for us to achieve our aim and objectives. Our extensive staff training and development plan ensures that all our staff receive the training and development required for them to perform their role in a professional and effective way. This ensures that they work towards and are committed to the philosophy of the Home and gives them a firm foundation for a career in care. Accreditation takes the form of external and internal assessment, successful students receive NVQ qualifications. To support this we have an in-house modular program of induction and training, of which we are very proud.
We have a dedicated in-house training advisor and assessor, responsible for designing and implementing our excellent induction program.
